Policies & Frequently Asked Questions

‚ÄčWhat's your cancellation policy?
If you must cancel or reschedule your appointment, please give at least 24 hours notice so that I may fill your session time with another client.   "No Shows" and same day cancellations will be charged the full session fee.
Please...call/text/email as soon as you know you need to cancel!  Things happen in life...I understand...we will work it out and get you rescheduled to avoid cancellation fees if rescheduled within a week.

I've never had a massage...what should I wear?
Fijian Barefoot and Swedish massage sessions are traditionally performed with the client unclothed; however, you should undress to your level of comfort.  Please know that you will be professionally draped with a sheet/blanket during your entire session, and only the parts of your body being worked will be uncovered.  As a comparison, you likely expose more of your body at the beach than you do on the massage table!

Are There Any Medical Conditions That Would Make Massage Inadvisable?
Yes. That's why it's imperative that, before we begin your session, I'll have you fill out a form and we will talk about general health questions. It is very important that you inform of any health conditions or medications you are taking. Certain medical conditions may require a discussion with your doctor...and as always, if I'm not the best practitioner for you, I will help you find a referral to someone that specializes in the type of bodywork that will help you most.

Do you work on clients younger than 18?
No.  I have chosen to dedicate my practice to working exclusively with adult clients age 18 and older.  I can offer a referral to a massage therapist that works with pediatric clients.

Do you take credit cards?
Yes.  I accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover....but local checks and cash are preferred.

Am I supposed to tip you?
Tipping is a personal decision...some of my clients always tip me, and also some of my most loyal and beloved clients do not.  Tipping is not expected, and you are appreciated and honored if you choose to tip or not.
Special note for couples/duet massage sessions:  when I bring in a second therapist for your special couples/duet massage sessions, then tipping is customary for therapist who traveled from their office to work together with us.
